Window Sales Man Loses Sale - How Is It Connected To The Law

Window Sales Man Loses Sale - How Is It Connected To The Law (AI)

Recently, we came across a story that, at first glance, had nothing to do with legal battles or employees' rights. It was a story about a home window salesman. You might be wondering how on earth a window salesman could relate to the quest for justice, but bear with me — there’s a surprising connection.

The story goes like this: A homeowner wanted to replace their windows. Enter the sales rep. At first, everything seemed smooth — a polished pitch, a reasonable price, and the promise of quality. But as the homeowner hesitated, the salesperson’s demeanor changed. The friendly tone faded.

Suddenly, discounts were offered, special offers appeared out of nowhere, and then came the pressure tactics — “This deal is only available today.” The longer the homeowner stalled, the more desperate the salesperson became. And as that desperation grew, the offers became more outlandish, and the pressure, relentless.

We’ve all seen it — when people want to get their way, they start pulling out all the stops. Desperation takes over.

Now here’s the shocker:

You might expect these kinds of tactics from salespeople, but would you expect to see them in the justice system?

Most people wouldn’t.

After all, the law is about fairness and truth, right?

But as we’ve found in our own journey advocating for employees with disabilities, the same desperate tactics we saw in that window salesman rear their head in the legal process.

Yes, the law is supposed to be just, impartial.

But the truth is that when employees with disabilities try to enforce their rights, they often face an opponent who will stop at nothing to win.

Just like that desperate salesman, employers — and their legal teams — can grow desperate, using every trick in the book to win the day.

We didn’t expect this at first, but it became all too clear as our own case unfolded. The more they felt threatened, the more ruthless they became.

In the coming editions, we will reveal how this desperation manifested — not in sales pitches, but in legal proceedings.

You’ll see just how far an employer will go when cornered, and how the system allows these tactics to creep into what should be a fight for justice.

In this specific case, we had the employer allege that the employees claim failed because there was a mobility clause in the employment contract.

(A mobility clause means that the employer can move the employee from one job to another or from one location to another. The employee has agreed to do that because it is in the contract of employment).

It was a desperate attempt to try and quickly win the case.

We will reveal what happened in an upcoming edition.

For now, know this: just like the homeowner who eventually slammed the door on that window salesman, you can fight back.

You just have to know what’s coming.

Quick Question - Please reply and let us know if you have ever encountered such tactics?

Stay tuned.

We have some surprising insights coming! Look out for the next edition
